South Korea or The Republic of Korea lying on the southern half of the Korean Penninsula is bounded by North Korea towards the north. China lies towards the west across the Yellow Sea and Japan in the southeast across the Korean Strait. It is estimated that half of South Korea 's population lives in and around the capital city Seoul. From the Asian mainland it stretches to a length of 680 miles and it covers an area of 99,617.38 square kilometers.
South Korea Map can be delineated into four regions. The eastern region is marked by mountain ranges and thin coastal plains; the western region by river basins, hills and wide coastal plains;the southwestern area by mountains and valleys and the southeastern area is covered by the flat Nakdong River basin. The fringes of the western and southern coats are dotted with myriad islands majority of which are uninhabited. The largest island is Jeju island lying 100 kilometers off South Korea's southern coast.Other islands include Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
South Korea weather can be described as comparatively temperate. Summers are characterized by heavy precipitation occurring in the jangma, the rainy season which lasts for a short period. The southern coast experiences high winter temperatures whereas the mountain regions record low temperatures. Rainfall occurs in summer from June to September with mean annual rainfall ranging from 1,370 millimetres in Seoul to 1470 millimetres in Busan. In the late summer typhoons carry strong winds and torrential rains to the southern coast.

Seoul Plaza: It is located around a fountain standing in front of Seoul City Hall. The attraction there is watching the fountain creating different water columns in sync with the lighting. The notable thing here is that the water tank is situated underground. So it creates the beautiful illusion of the water sprouting from the water surface itself.
Seoul Tower: It is 262 meters high providing a bird's view of the whole city. The complex surrounding the Seoul Tower has a Fairy Land which hosts exhibitions of Disneyland-like robots acting out fairy tale stories.
Cheonggye Stream: It is a must see for tourists. A visit to South Korea is nothing without having a view of the Cheonggye Stream. It is both a natural and artificial stream that cuts through Seoul and runs from Inwang-san and Baegak-san towards downtown. The stream is marked by many beautiful bridges like Gwangton Bridge, Dasan Bridge, Biudang Bridge ,Dumul Bridge ,Mojeon Bridge, Saebyeok Bridge, Malgeunnae Bridge. Cheonggye Square lying at the beginning of the stream consists of a square . Associated with it is a waterside space which entices viewers with its waterfall from which 65,000 tons of water falls per day. There is also a Tunnel fountain which throws the water in the form of a tunnel with lighting.
Busun: The city of Busun is the second largest city of South Korea.
