Kenya International Relations can be described as amicable with its neighbors as well as with other countries of the world. A
member of the United Nations,Kenya is a friendly neighbor to the countries of Tanzania,Zanzibar,Ethiopia,Somalia,Uganda and Sudan. It does not meddle in the matters of other countries.
Kenya follows a policy of co-operation and co-existence. The
International Relations of Kenya with other countries proves this fact. However,Kenya participates as a mediator in disputes;as in February,2005 Kenya acted as one in the north-south separation of Sudan.
Kenya has participated in the
UN peacekeeping missions in Cambodia and Western Sahara. It has also sent troops to East Timor and Sierra Leone.
Kenya has taken positive steps to ensure socio-economic development of the country. It keeps a politically correct relationship with its
neighboring countries.
