The
Kenya President is both the chief of the state and the head of the government in Kenya. The
Kenya President is elected by people to run the system for 5 years. But this can be renewed once. The
Presidential candidate also has to win 25% or more of the vote in at least five of the Kenya's seven provinces.
The Vice President and Cabinet are appointed by
President of Kenya, who is a member of the National Assembly and is above 35 years old. In the absence of the
Kenya President ( if he dies or not present for some other reason ) the Vice President becomes interim
Kenya President for 90 days until someone else is elected for that post.
With the support of the majority in the Parliament the
President and his Cabinet govern the state. Several offices run under the control of the

Being the head of the state the
Kenya President can also dissolve the Parliament if needed.
