Fashion in Japan, in the 21 st century is a fusion of the east and the west. The fusions of traditional and contemporary styles are the recent trends of Japanese fashion . Weird make up with highlighted hair and colorful bold costumes had given the girls a name “Ganguro Gal'. The platform shoes which had made its appearance in Japan in 1970s are still very much in fashion and had also achieved worldwide popularity. The hairstyles in Japan vary a lot but a common thing which is stressed on is to make the front part different and attractive so that the focus remains on the face.
