In Italy you can accommodate in hotels, private houses or in religious institutions. Advanced reservations in hotels are recommended. Every hotel has fixed rated in accordance with the Provincial Tourist Board. It must be noted that reservations are made from U.S. or Canadian travel agencies and not through Italian Government Travel offices. Private accommodation in homes or secular institution is available through travel agencies in the concerned city. Day hotels are also available for short stay.
