The transport facilities provided by the magical city of Venice is quite good. Mainly the Venice Transport can be divided into 2 sections. They are pedestrian and waterborne. Waterborne transport comprises of water taxis and water buses.

Vaporetto (bus) is considered to be one of the most popular mode of transportations. While talking about the local public transportation we should mention about those special boats that could be seen in Venice. They go to different places. Some of them even stop at each stoppage while some other provides a more express option. A ticket is required to board these Vaporettos. An extra charge is needed to be paid for carrying luggage in it. The No 1 vaporetto offers a tour of the Grand Canal. Vaporetto journey has been appealing the tourists for a long time. It provides a wonderful, charming and entertaining tour which is considered to be on of the most fabulous experiences for the visitors.

Apart from this Alilaguna , water bus also provides a good transportation service to the Italians. One have to avail them while going to Venice from Marco Polo airport. The ticket has to be bought from kiosk. A bus is provided free of cost across the airport to the jetty. There the red or blue Alilaguna boats are seen to be waiting for the passengers. One may also board the touting water taxis. But it is quite costly. So it is better to avoid those mode of transportation.

Train is the another Venice Transport. Train journey is quite comfortable. One may travel around Venice by using a rail pass. Advance booking is needed for it particularly for in the case of seat t reservation. Nowadays automatic ticket machines are being used. There is not much difference between the 1 st and 2 nd class. Plenty of food and wine are available in those trains. The name of Venice's Train Station is Santa Lucia.
