US Virgin Islands

The US Virgin Islands in the Caribbean is a collection of three islands – St. Croix , St. Thomas and St. John – and is America's own little paradise. Christened by Christopher Columbus after the virgin followers of St. Ursula, the islands were originally inhabited by three Indian tribes – the Caribs, the Ciboney and the Arawaks. The islands finally came into the possession of the US after the Dutch sold the islands to them. The island is volcanic in nature and so it has all the traits of volcanic activity.
