Poetry of Iranian Literature
In Iranian literature "Khorasani style"is better manifested in the lyricism of Asjadi, Farrukhi Sistani, Unsuri, and Manuchehri. Rudaki is well known for love of nature. Ferdowsi's Shahnama was the representative of the epic style of poetry, Lyric poetry was the predecessor of the ghazal form and was characterised by emotional lyric qualities, rich meters, and the lucidity of the language.Vis o Ramin by Asad Gorgani, and Yusof o Zoleikha by Am'aq are examples of emotional romantic poetry . Poets like Sana'i and Attar , Khaqani Shirvani, Anvari, and Nezami, were also ghazal writers. However, the pioneer of this art form were none other than Rumi, Sadi, and Hafez. Sadi's Bustan is regarded as an all time gem of Persian literature.
