Tehran

Tehran is the capital and biggest city of Iran and is considered to be a major administrative center of Tehran Province. Tehran is indeed the stunning and cleanest Iranian city in the world.

This Iranian city is comparatively strong in economy. The main industries of Tehran include the automobile, electrical equipment and military accessory manufacturing. Along with it the city is quite popular for textiles, sugar, cement, and chemical industries. Tehran is also a leading center selling carpets and furniture. There is an oil refinery situated in the south of the city.

Located at the foot of the Alborz hill, it is a major hub of the country's railway network. The city has a huge number of museums, art centers and palaces constructed in an unique style.

The Azadi Tower is considered to be one of the major landmarks for tourists. For a past couple of years it has been an icon for Tehran and a national symbol of Iran.

The Tehran International Trade and Conventions Center is another tourist attraction and it is popularly known as the Milad Complex. This is indeed one of the largest structures in Iranian architecture. Till now it is under construction and scheduled to be finished in late 2007. The complex comprises of the world's 4th highest tower containing a plenty of restaurants, a five star hotel, a world trade center, a convention center and an IT park .
