Asalem

Asalem is a very small region on the land of Iran, generally not visible on the national map. Though insignificant in terms of location and nationwide importance, Asalem like all other Iranian countries, is characterized by individual topographical, climatic and other features required to identify a country.

Located on 37° 42' 14N latitude and 48° 56' 27E longitude, Asalem has a rugged mountainous terrain with altitudinal measurement of 370 feet or 112 meters. It is approximately 4 hours ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time, found on UTC+3:30 east Time Zone. The estimated population residing within a radius of 7 kilometers from this particular time zone in Asalem, at present, comes around to 20,165.

Geographically, Asalem is situated somewhere between the plain lands and the coastal areas of Iran. Its western part is covered more or less with a long chain of mountain range which continues till the southern part of the country. It’s nearness to the costal region makes a lot of fresh air come within the mainland areas, relieving the lives of the people staying there on a permanent basis.

Located just in between the mountains and the coastal region, the climate of Asalem is neither extreme nor totally maritime in nature. The western parts of the country seldom undergoes cool weather, but as one comes closer to the seacoasts, the climate become more pleasant owing to the cool sea breezes blowing over the land, to keep the temperature under control. This is one of the reasons why people should visit Asalem to enjoy its serene and cool atmosphere. The temperature remaining stable almost all through the year, the country has least precipitation rates and irregular monsoons.

Asalem is surrounded by countries on all sides, acting as natural boundaries and protecting it from possible foreign invasions. Chekhreh Mahalleh, Now Qal`eh Mahalleh and Lavabon comprise the northern parts of the land, while the southern corner is taken care of by Mirza Mahalleh. To the east of Asalem, lies Jangemireh, and the western part consists of Karban. All these Iranian towns and cities are recognized as neighboring places of Asalem.

Asalem can be accessed through airways. Though flights are not very frequent in this small country, yet airports like Zanjan, Rasht and Ardabil can expect huge tourists in future, with gradual rise in the popularity of the place.
