Iran Government is a theocratic republic type of Government.The Capital of Iran Government is Tehran.The Administration of Iran Government is divided into 30 provinces (ostanha, singular - ostan); Ardabil, Azarbayjan-e Gharbi, Azarbayjan-e Sharqi, Bushehr, Chahar Mahall va Bakhtiari, Esfahan, Fars, Gilan, Golestan, Hamadan, Hormozgan, Ilam, Kerman, Kermanshah, Khorasan-e Janubi, Khorasan-e Razavi, Khorasan-e Shemali, Khuzestan, Kohgiluyeh va Buyer Ahmad, Kordestan, Lorestan, Markazi, Mazandaran, Qazvin, Qom, Semnan, Sistan va Baluchestan, Tehran, Yazd, Zanjan. The Iran Government gained independence on April,1 1979. The Constitution of Iran Government was formed 2-3 December 1979 and revised in 1989.
The chief of the state is Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Hoseini-Khomeini. The head of the Iran government is President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad. The Cabinet consists of Council of Ministers selected by the president with legislative approval. The President is elected by vote for a four-year term. The last election was held on 17 June 2005.
The Supreme Court is above a clerical court, a revolutionary court, and a special administrative court. Some of the Political parties are Solidarity Party; Islamic Labor Party; Mardom Salari; Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution Organization (MIRO); and Militant Clerics Society (Ruhaniyun).
The Flag of the Iran Government consists of three equal horizontal bands of green at the top, white, and red; the national emblem in red is at the center of the white band; Allah Akbar in white Arabic script is written 11 times along the top edge of the red band and 11 times along the bottom edge of the green band.
