Company Profile :

Incorporated in September, 1947, The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. (earlier known as The Oriental Fire and General Insurance Co. Ltd ) was a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oriental Government Security Life Assurance Company Limited and it was established to conduct general insurance business. In 1956, following the nationalization of life insurance business in India, the company had became a subsidiary of Life Insurance Corporation ( LIC ) of India. In 1973, it became one of the subsidiaries of General Insurance Corporation ( GIC ) of India.
