Health Insurance is an important type of insurance whereby all the costs of medical treatment of a person (sick under covered causes or injured in accidents) are borne by the insurer. Such types of insurance could be provided both by government or private agencies.
Origin :
The concept of Health Insurance was made relevant in 1694 by Hugh the Elder Chamberlen in England. In the late 19th century,Health Insurance was actually disability insurance, covering only the cost of emergency care for injuries that could lead to a disability. Patients were expected to pay all other health care costs by themselves. During the middle to late 20th century, traditional disability insurance gradually evolved into the modern Health Insurance programs.
