In 2000 Esurance was acquired by Folksamerica Holding Company, Inc., which is a subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group . Presently, Esurance is a direct subsidiary of White Mountains. Change Sciences, a Web usability analysis firm, awarded Esurance for having the best customer experience, while A.M. Best has awarded it with A (Excellent) rating.
