Tambora is a beautiful city of Indonesia and its an amazing city in terms of landscapes as its an outcome of volcanic eruptions Tambora is located in the island of Sumbawa in Indonesia and its a stratovolcano forming the Sanggar peninsula of the island. The Island is the part of the active volcanic arc which is again part of the Ring of fire around the Pacific Ocean and lies about 300 kilometers behind the Sunda trench. On the year 1815 on 10th April for the very first time Tambora erupted in about 5000 years.
Tambora in Indonesia witnessed a series of massive eruption followed simultaneously for several days .It blew along with a volcanic chunk and after flying for 40 kilometers it dropped in the ground and created a massive flow of ash, pumice stone and debris. The ash itself traveled a distance of about 1300 km away. Tambora ash created tsunami's as high as 5 meters out from the island. When the flow reached ocean it caused flood, devastation and death of innumerable person and when the eruption ended approximately 100-150 cubic kilometers of ash and debris were said to be ejected according to the information.
The geographical features of the Tambora city of Indonesia also altered by the volcanic eruptions as initially Tambora stood over 400m (13000ft) high. The Aftermath of the giant crater at the top of the volcano is four miles wide and 3,640 ft. deep. The ash of the eruption at Tambora was terrific killing all crops and vegetation and finally to the death and famine and the sulphur-dioxide eruptions made a year without summer in the year 1816.
