Delhi , the Capital of India, is situated on the banks of river Yamuna in the northern of India . It is the second largest metropolitan city of India with an ever growing population of 13 million at present. It includes 9 districts, 27 tehsils, 59 census towns, 165 villages and 3 legislative towns - Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), New Delhi Municipal Committee (NDMC) and Delhi Cantonment Board (DCB)

climatic conditions . In summers it is one of the hottest cities of India with temperature varying between 35 C- 48 C and similarly in winters it is one of the coldest places with its climate varying between 10C - 2 C.
HISTORY OF DELHI
The history of
Delhi , the capital city of many kingdoms of ancient India and the ancient trade route, is supposed to have been born in the 2 nd century BC. It is considered to have been a part of Indraprastha the capital of the Pandav kings from the great Indian epic Mahabharata. A large part of
Delhi was established by the Mughals and is now known as
Old Delhi . But the establishment of the city is dated even before somewhere around 3 rd century BC. The different dynasties that ruled Delhi in the ancient and medieval period include the Mauryan dynasty, Slave dynasty, Lodhi dynasty and Mughal dynasty
