Iceland Volcanic Eruption: A cause of Mayhem across the Globe
The volcanic eruption at the Eyjafjallajokull, located beside Eyjafjallajokull glacier in the southern Iceland, spreads molten lava on the ground and throws ash into the air. The abundance of ash into the air has created dark cloud that covers large area of North Atlantic Ocean and Western Europe. However, due to paucity of casualty, scientists said - it is peaceful.
By virtue of having the location on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland is one of the most volcanic active zones; this is the reason that it has been keep on experiencing volcanic eruptions frequently. However, the volcanic eruption occurred on last Saturday (8 p.m. EDT) is fissure volcanic eruption rather than being a central vent volcanic eruption type; therefore, it is not much dangerous.
Just after this fissure type volcanic eruption, it has created mayhem and lots of commotion across the world. All the flights scheduled through this way to London and at other airports nearby have been postponed. Of course, it caused the great disruption to the people whose journey was scheduled on this way and a huge monetary damage to the airport authorities.
