Skaftafell National Parks of Iceland was formed in the year 1967 and it is the second largest park in Iceland. It’s a beautiful oasis and it lies between sand and glacier. There is no road way in Iceland Skaftafell National Parks but one can have the extended hikes due to the presence of network of trails. The park has amenities like restaurant, toilets, small shops and some interesting visitors centre. The visitor centre offers map, brochures and hiking trail for its visitors. The bus company Austurleid also offers daily tours from the Iceland Skaftafell National Parks to the volcanic Laki area. The approximate distance of the park from the capital is 340 km.
