Tennis in Iceland is one of the sports that is gradually becoming popular. Tennis in Iceland does not enjoy that much popularity and enthusiasm as some other sports like soccer, basketball or other adventure sports enjoy. And yet Iceland take part in some of the international tennis competitions like the Davis Cup and the Fed Cup. Iceland has several tennis groups and clubs for taking part in the tennis competitions.

Iceland has several tennis groups and clubs that take part in several regional, national and international tennis cup competitions. In the capital city of Iceland, Reykjavik there is a tennis club that supervises various tennis competitions in Iceland. The name of this club located in Reykjavik is, Tennis and Badminton Club of Reykjavik. This tennis club in Iceland that takes care of Iceland badminton game as well, was established in the year 1938. Though this tennis club is not that much old yet it has a considerable influence in the field of tennis in Iceland. Most probably this Tennis and Badminton Club is the biggest club in the whole of Iceland.

Iceland takes part in major international tennis tournaments also. At present Iceland is in the group three in the Europe- Africa zone in the international competition of Davis Cup tournaments. Iceland Davis Cup team is under the supervision of Icelandic Tennis Association. Iceland in the year 2000 has ranked three in the Davis Cup in its own group. Iceland plays in the Fed Cup of tennis also. This group is also under the supervision of Icelandic Tennis Association.
