The town of
Szeged is situated in the Csongrad District of Hungary. The history of the town can be traced back to the era of Roman Empire. Initially it was only a settlement, which later became a town in about 1274. This town was an economically and culturally important destination in the past.
In the 15th century, it joined the campaign to resist the advancing Turkish power. Szeged town had been badly affected by flood of river Tisza in 1879. But later the city was rebuilt. Now this town has become a popular destination of Hungary travel.
