The Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden had opened in the year 1866 as a private organization and in the 19th and 20th centuries the park underwent major reconstruction. The Zoo is open all year round from 9.00 to 16.00 hours every day. The entry fee for adults is 1700 HUF and for children, aged 2-14 years, it is 1200 HUF. A student who has an ISIC is required to pay 1200 HUF. These tickets are valid in the Palm House and Aquarium as well.
The quickest way to reach Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden is to take the M1 yellow metro and getting down at Széchenyl fürdo stop. The other way is to take a trolley bus 72, 75 and 79.
