Hungary time is measured according to the central European time zone, since it lies in this zone. Hungary thus follows, the general norm of the Central European Standard Time, which is one hour ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time. Hungary too is a follower of Summer Time or the Daylight Saving Time, that is followed in most other countries of Europe as well. During the summer months, Hungary time is calculated according to the Daylight Saving Time, when the time is shifted by 2 hours ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time. At the end of the summers, the standard time calculated in Hungary is 1 hour ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time.
Once summer is over, the Daylight Saving Time, which was 2 hours ahead of GMT, is once again cut down by 1 hour. The standard time followed in the country remains in coincidence with the Central European time, which is 1 hour ahead of GMT. Daylight Saving Time is calculated in the country from 25th March. 28th October is the time when, Hungary time will be shifted back by an hour and once again the Central European Time Zone will be followed.
