Hungary Climate




Hungary climate is temperate by nature and mainly the below mentioned factors influence this continental climate

Like most other countries, the Hungary climate goes through significant changes regarding the average temperature of 4 seasons. Generally, January is considered to be the coldest, whereas the hottest months of this country are July and August.

The daily temperature variation of Hungary is quite high. It is said that the yearly average temperature is around 12 °C, (maximum is 38 °C, minimum is around -10 °C).

During early part of April spring starts and is followed by lots of showers. In Hungary, the summer months are dry and warm, whereas, autumn months remain cool, rainy and foggy. The duration of Winters, on the other hand, are comparatively short, fairly cold and generally dry, however, sometimes sunny.

The annual rainfall is around 415 mm, which comprises 2 stronger and 2 dryer seasons. On the other hand, the yearly average wind speed is 2.4 m/sec.

Usually, summer seasons are highly recommended for visiting the country, since the weather remains warm and most of the places of interest are open during this time. The weather in autumn and spring can be very comfortable and pleasant, but temperatures may drop to about 20°F.
