Hungary Theatre is an important source of enjoyment and recreation for the people of Hungary. The Hungarian State opera house, Hevesi Sándor Theater and National Theater of Miskolc are some of the famous theaters in Hungary.
The Hungarian Royal Opera House, now known as Hungarian State Opera House, is located in the central pest area of Budapest. This opera house was constructed in the neo-classical style. With exotic designs and decorations, this opera house is considered to be the best architectural building of Budapest. It can accommodate more than 1200 spectators. Famous artists who have visited this house are Otto Klemperer and Gustav Mahler.
Hevesi Sandor Theater is another popular theater in Hungary. Jozsef Katona's Bank ban was the first play performed in this theater. Between 1950 and 1980 the theater was home to the trade union workers of Zalaegerszeg. Later, it also served as the center for Zala County Cultural.
The only fortress made of brick that still exists today is the Gyula Castle Theater in the city of Gyula in Hungary. The different theatrical performance at this theater includes jazz, opera, ballet, historical dramas, medieval music, folk-dance and a blend of classic and folk music.
