Airports in Guatemala
San Jose Airport – this airport is operated and looked after by Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil de Guatemala. It is a relatively new airport, so it is yet to get an IATA code.
Coatepeque Airport – this airport is located Quetzaltenango city of Guatemala. It has a small terminal and runway which is about 959 meters long.
Coban Airport – this airport is located in Guatemala's Alta Verapaz city. Though this airport is reported for bad safety precautions and runway, it was not included in the modernization plans of the government.
Puerto Barrios Airport – this airport serves the port of Santo Tomás de Castilla and Guatemalan Caribbean. As part of the nationwide airport rehabilitation program, this airport is being renovated.
Quetzaltenango Airport – located in the Guatemalan highlands, this airport is looked after by Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil de Guatemala or DGAC.
La Aurora International Airport – after the recent renovations, this airport now has the capacity to handle a larger number of flights. Both commercial and cargo airlines land and takeoff from here.
Mundo Maya International Airport – this international airport is located in Guatemala’s Flores city. The airlines that operate from here are: Tropic Air, Transportes Aereos Guatemaltecos and Taca.
