Greenland Tourist Attractions

Greenland is an island country in North America. Greenland is known for its vast tundra and immense glaciers. Sailing tours among icebergs, dog sledding tours, ice cap treks, wild life spotting, whale watching, etc are the main tourist activities.


Greenland is home to several tourist attractions which are frequented by travelers throughout the year. The southern part of Greenland and the Disko Bay region has grown to be the two major tourist attractions of the country.

While on Greenland sightseeing you can come across many churches, museums, fjord complex, and beautiful villages. Ilulissat Icefjord, in western Greenland, is one of the major attractions of the country.

Disko Bay region: The region is replete with beautiful sceneries and large buildings of historical importance. The Zion Church, in Ilulissat, is one of the major places of interest in Greenland. Tourists should visit the church during the festival time so that they can observe the rituals performed in this church. In addition, the beautiful decoration of the church makes it more attractive.

The Marine Museum of Greenland houses several Marine artifacts of the past time. Visitors would find several heroic and religious themes in the paintings of the Museum. The ancient collection of this museum is worth a look.
