Most of the major towns of Greenland have an active and modern Nightlife. These places have a number of restaurants and pubs where both food and alcoholic beverages are available. The pubs are open for every one above 18 years of age. Youngsters below 18 years are not permitted in the pubs. Some towns have discotheques while some have live bands. A cinema and a swimming bath that has opened up at Nuuk, the capital of Greenland are becoming increasingly popular among the younger and older people alike.
Nightlife in Greenland is a craze among the youngsters. Be it the bars or the pubs or the theaters or the discos, the young people of the country throng these places in order to feel alive and enjoy the spirit of the night. The operas are mostly visited by the older generations. Music and dancing along with wine makes up the nights of the people who party all through the night till the early hours of the morning.
Though Greenland can boast of an active and vivacious nightlife, it is restricted to only the major cities and towns which have developed rapidly in present times into urban centers.
