international relation with several Scandinavian countries, European countries and some other countries through out the world.
Greenland is a part of various
international relationships with a number of countries for development of its own people and territory as well as for the development of other countries.
Greenland is a part of the Nordic Council and maintains
international relationship with
Iceland and Faroe Island. Through the Nordic Atlantic Cooperation and West Nordic Foundation
Greenland maintains various
international projects with these two countries and also the
international relationship.
Greenland has connection with the European Union also but on some special agreement as this country withholds its membership from the European Union in the year 1985.
Greenland's international relationship enhanced when it involved in environmental projects with eight other European countries and formed the Arctic Council 1996.
