Ministries of Greece

Ministries of Greece are headed by the chief executives of those ministries, known as ministers who are appointed by the President of Greece at the recommendation of the Prime Minister.

Currently the office of the Prime minister is held by Kostas Karamanlis and the President of the Hellenic Republic (the official name of Greece) is Karolos Papoulias. The Greek ministry is part of the Prime Minister's cabinet and helps him run the nation smoothly.

The Grecian ministry is selected from the members of the Greek parliament elected by popular mandate. Hence although the Greek ministers report to the Prime Minister and he in turn is responsible to the President, ultimately all of them are accountable to the Greek populace.
