Zurich Classic of New Orleans
Born in 1938 by the name of Crescent City Open, New Orleans is home to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. It is an annual event which was forced to shift to English Turn Golf and Country Club in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the TPC of Louisiana in 2005. The authorities have still not decided the venue for the 2007 edition of the tournament.

The tournament was discontinued for some reason from 1949-57. Past winners include Billy Casper, Byron Nelson, Jack Nicklaus, Davis Love III, David Toms, and Vijay Singh.
Chris Couch won the 2006 edition of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans beating Fred Funk by a narrow margin of one stroke. In the process he took home $1,080,000 from the $6,000,000 event.
Tournament schedule and tickets
The dates for the 2007 Zurich Classic of New Orleans are 16-22 April. The first three days are marked for practice sessions and Pro-Am events while the players tee off for the tournament from 19 April.
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans has been a regular feature of the US PGA Tour over the years. Though the venue for next year's edition is still not finalized, it is certain that this tournament will be held on schedule.
