Frys.com Open
The Frys.com Open is held in the Fall Finish season of the US PGA Tour at the TPC in Summerlin and TPC at The Canyons in Las Vegas , Nevada . Founded in 1983, the tournament had five rounds and was played at several courses till 2003. From 2004, it is played at these two courses only and features only four rounds.
Wes Short Jr won a nail-biting encounter, beating Jim Furyk in a playoff for the 2005 Frys.com Open . The tournament had total prize money of $4,000,000 with the winner getting $720,000. Tiger Woods won his first title on the US PGA Tour here in 1996.
Tournament schedule and tickets
The Frys.com Open will be held in October, 2006. The practice rounds will be held from 9-11 October and the stroke play rounds will be held from 12-16 October. You can buy daily tickets at the gate for $20. Those who are serving the US in the military will be allowed entry free of cost.
Frys.com Open is the place where Tiger Woods won his first US PGA Tour title. As we continue on this tour we will learn about the other tournaments in the US PGA Tour.
