EDS Byron Nelson hampionship
Held at the Dallas -Fort Worth Metroplex, the EDS Byron Nelson Championship is an annual event in the US PGA Tour. It is the only tournament in the current season to be named after an individual. The Championship is the leading fundraiser on the PGA Tour. It is expected that it would cross the $100-million mark during the 2007 version of the tournament. The tournament started in 1944 as Texas Victory Open and has gone a series of name changes since then.

Brett Wetterich won the 2006 EDS Byron Nelson Championship defeating Trevor Immelman by one stroke. The total prize money offered was $6,200,000 with the winner getting richer by $1,116,000.

The next edition of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship will be held from 23-29 April, 2007. Daily tickets are priced at $45 each.
Brett Wetterich earned his first career PGA Tour title at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship. The tournament is associated with charity in a big way and is the largest fundraiser in the US PGA. As we continue on this tour we will learn about the other tournaments in the US PGA Tour.
