Cypress Point Club
Cypress Point Club , located in Pebble Beach, California , rivals any other course in the United States in terms of scenic beauty. As a result, it features regularly among the top 10 golf courses of Golf Digest's list of top 100 Golf Courses in America .
History of the Course
The Cypress Point Club was opened in 1928 and was designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie. The nature of the course is such that it is full of hazards amid immense beauty. The fairways have a thick cut of rough, and loads of sand bunkers. Both sand dunes and sand bunkers have been strategically placed around the greens and on the fairways. The greens are small and undulating. Golfers must cross over the ocean on three occasions, and the ocean comes into play on four other holes. This is the reason why this course is considered as one of the most scenic courses in the country.
