Chrysler Classic of Greensboro
Chrysler Classic of Greensboro is annually played in Greensboro, North Carolina with the par-72 Forest Oaks Country Club being its destination in 2006. It has been an annual fixture on the US PGA Tour since its inception in 1938. Till 2002 it was held in April or May but from 2003 it was shifted to the Fall Finish of the US PGA Tour.
Sam Snead set a PGA Tour record for his eight wins at the event, as well as his 1965 event, which made him the oldest player to win a PGA Tour event. Both the records still stand.
KJ Choi won the 2005 Chrysler Classic of Greensboro defeating Shigeki Maruyama by two strokes. He received $990,000 as prize money from the tournament's purse of $5,000,000.
Tournament schedule and tickets
The 2006 Chrysler Classic of Greensboro will be held from 1-8 October. Tickets are available at the gates for $15 on all days. Children below 15 years will be granted free entry on being accompanied by a ticket holding adult.
