Booz Allen Classic
Booz Allen Classic is an annual feature in the US PGA Tour calendar. The event has been played at a number of courses around the country. It was played for the first time at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, Massachusetts in 1968. After that it was played in the states of North Carolina and Maryland .The TPC at Avenel in Potomac has been the home of the Booz Allen Classic as of 1987 though last year it was played at the par-71 Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland as the TPC was undergoing renovation. However, it will return to Avenel in 2007.
Tournament schedule and tickets
The 2006 Booz Allen Classic was held from 19-25 June, 2006. As the US PGA Tour has rescheduled the event for the Fall, Booz Allen has declined to renew its sponsorship.
As the Booz Allen Classic is held one week after the US Open, the top golfers give a slip to this tournament preferring to take rest. As we continue on this tour we will learn about the other tournaments in the US PGA Tour.
