The
Virginia Beach Open is annually played in May at The TPC of Virginia Beach in Virginia. It was first played at the turn of the century, i.e. in 2000, and was immediately incorporated into the Nationwide Tour roster. It was then known as the BUY.COM Virginia Beach Open. The tournament got its present name in 2004.The 2007 Virginia Beach Open will be held in TPC of Virginia Beach,Virginia Beach, Virginia, from 4-7 May.

Andrew Buckle dominated the proceedings from the start to clinch the 2006 Virginia Beach Open. He took the lead in the first round itself and gradually increased it to win by five strokes over Justin Bolli. Held in the first week of Ma, the tournament offers a total prize money of $450,000 out of which Buckle received $ 81,000.
