The Empire Lake Golf Course in Rancho Cucamonga, California has been hosting the Mark Christopher Charity Classic since 1994, the year it was first played. At that time it was known as the NIKE Inland Empire Open. As with most other tournaments on this tour, its name has been changed a number of times due to change in sponsorship deals. From the start itself the tournament has been part of the Nationwide Tour . Below is a list of names by which the meet was known over the years.

Kevin Na won the 2006 Mark Christopher Charity Classic with a comfortable three-stroke victory over Jeff Quinney. Except for a poor third round, Na was in command of the leader board throughout. The tournament, held in the beginning of October, had a prize fund of $ 500,000. Na received the winner's cheque of $ 90,000.
Past Winners
Skip Kendall had won the inaugural Mark Christopher Charity Classic while Kevin Na has won it in 2006. In between many golfers have won this meet but none of them have been able to win it a second time. Here is a list of winners who have won here since it became part of the Nationwide Tour .
