The Chitimacha Louisiana Open Pres'd by Dynamic Industries has been a part of the Nationwide Tour since 1992, when it was first played. In 2006, it was the first tournament on the tour to be played in the USA. It is played annually in the month of March at the Le Triomphe Country Club in Louisiana. When it was first played it was known as the Ben Hogan Louisiana Open. The tournament's name was then changed a number of times due to change in sponsors and ultimately came to be known its present name in 2003.

Johnson Wagner won the 2006 Chitimacha Louisiana Open Pres'd by Dynamic Industries by a narrow margin of one stroke over Chad Collins. The scores were tied at the end of the third round but Wagner pulled through with some brilliant play in the last round. Wagner received $90,000 out of the tournament's budget of $500,000.
