The BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs was first played in 1992, two years after the Nationwide Tour was born. Since the beginning it has been part of the tour. The tournament is played over two courses: The Cliffs Valley Course at Keowee Vineyards and The Cliffs at Walnut Cove. Both the courses are located in Greenville, South Carolina. Due to sponsorship changes the tournament’s name has been changed many times. The meet was born as the Ben Hogan Greater Greenville Classic and came to be known by its present name in 2002.
