The Albertsons Boise Open Pres'd by First Health was one of the founding tournaments of the Nationwide Tour . The Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho has been hosting the tournament since then. The tournament was initially known as the Ben Hogan Boise Open. After that the tournament's name was changed twice. Finally from 2002 it came to be known as the Albertsons Boise Open Pres'd by First Health . Here is a list of names by which it was known.

Kevin Stadler was crowned the champion at the 2006 Albertsons Boise Open Pres'd by First Health . He had a narrow one-stroke victory over Glen Day. Initially, Stadler had a lead of six strokes, but his form dipped in the last two rounds. However, the lead was enough to see him through. As the winner, he received a cheque of $117,000 out of the tournament's purse of $650,000. The meet was held in the middle of September.
