Wegmans LPGA
The Wegmans LPGA was first played in 1977 and since then it has been a part of the LPGA Tour . The tournament is associated with the Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York, which has been hosting it since then. When it was first played in 1977 it was known as the Bankers Trust Classic. From then on its name was changed many times due to change of sponsors.The 2007 Wegmans LPGA will held in Pittsford, New York, from 21-24 July. Shaking off her narrow defeat at the McDonald's LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola, Jeong Jang came out strongly to win the 2006 Wegmans LPGA. She defeated Julieta Granada by a margin of one stroke only. The tournament was held towards the end of June and had offered $ 1.8 million in prize money. As the winner, Jang received $ 270,000.
