Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi
The Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi was founded in 1972 as the Portland Classic. It is managed by the Tournament Golf Foundation Incorporated (TGFI) sine it was first played. The tournament is played in the Portland, Oregon but not on any particular golf course. As with most long running tournaments, this meet's name was also changed many times due to sponsorship deals. It is known as the Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi since 2000.
