KOLON-Hana Bank Championship

The KOLON-Hana Bank Championship is part of both the LPGA Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour. It was scheduled to begin in 2001 but due to the 9/11 attacks in New York the event was cancelled. Till 2005, the tournament was known as the CJ Nine Bridges Classic but from this year it is known as the KOLON-Hana Bank Championship. Earlier the Nin Bridges Golf Club hosted it but since 2006 the Mauna Ocean Gol & Resort has been hosting it.

Jin Joo Hong beat Jong Jang by three strokes to lift the 2006 KOLON-Hana Bank Championship. Played over 54 holes, the tournament was held in the last week of October. The winner received $ 202,500 out of the tournament fund of $ 125,817.

Past Winners

Se Ri Pak had won the KOLON-Hana Bank Championship when it was first played in 2002. Since then a host of players have won here but none have won it a second time. Here is a list of winners who have won here since it became part of the LPGA Tour.
