HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship
The HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship is the first matchplay event in the history of the LPGA Tour . In order to get invitation to this event you need to qualify in either of the following categories:
- The defending champion
- The top 30 players on the Rolex Women's World Rankings
- The top 29 players on the LPGA Tour Money List, who have not qualified in the above category
- The No.1 player on the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit
- The reigning US Women's champion
- Two sponsor exemptions
Till 2006 it was played at the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey but from next year the event will be hosted at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, New York.
Brittany Lincicome was crowned champion at the 2006 HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship. She defeated Juli Inkster in the final. Out of the tournament's purse of $ 2 million she received $ 500,000.

Marisa Baena had won the inaugural HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship in 2005. Here is a list of winners who have won here since it became part of the LPGA Tour .
