CN Canadian Women's Open
The CN Canadian Women's Open is a very old tournament. It was first played in 1973 as the La Canadienne. This tournament is part of both the LPGA Tour and the CN Canadian Women's Tour. Till 2000 it was recognized as one of the majors on the tour. From 2001, it has been replaced by the Weetabix Women's British Open. The tournament has not been played at any particular course. It will next be played at the Royal Mayfair Golf & Country Club in Edmorton, Alberta. Till 1973, the tournament was played over 54 holes. After that it adopted the standard norm of 72 holes. Due to sponsorship changes, the tournament's name has been changed many times.
