EnterCard Scandinavian Masters

The EnterCard Scandinavian Masters was first played in 1973 and since then it has been part of the European Tour . This tournament was created to become a part of the tour. It was also the first tournament to become a part of the tour from Sweden. Due to change in sponsorship deals its name was changed many times from its original Scandinavian Enterprise Open .

The prize money for the EnterCard Scandinavian Masters is less compared to the other major events in Europe but more than the co-sponsored events on the tour.

There was a very intense competition between Scottish Marc Warren and Welsh Robert Karlsson for the 2006 EnterCard Scandinavian Masters . Ultimately the Stossman prevailed in a playoff. He not only took home the winner's trophy but also the winner's cheque of € 2,66,660.

The EnterCard Scandinavian Masters has had a number of distinguished winners over the years. Legends like Greg Norman and Nick Faldo have won here as well as modern day bigwigs like Vijay Singh and Colin Montgomerie. It has been a happy hunting ground for Seve Ballesteros and Montgomerie with both of them winning it thrice each.
