Andalucia Open de Espana Valle Romano

The Andalucia Open de Espana Valle Romano is a very old tournament being held in Spain. Christened as the Spanish Open in 1912, the tournament has been a part of European Tour since 1972. Played in April, the Spanish Open is held at the Saint Rogue Club in Cadiz. It is one of the five tournaments to be held in Spain. The tourament's name has been changed many times over the years due to change in sponsors.

The tournament is not very attractive for the players as the prize money is low compared to other meets. The 2006 winner got a cheque of €2,75,000 for his efforts. It was a close fight for the Andalucia Open de Espana Valle Romano with Niclas Fasth beating John Bickerton in a playoff.
