The Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge is a one-day event and generally takes place on a Tuesday. The tournament is very much into charity and since its inception in 1992 has raised over $21,000,000 for the cause. The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is the beneficiary.
It is an unofficial event and is held in November every year at the Lake Las Vegas Las Vegas Resort in Henderson, Nevada . The Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge is a unique stroke play event which pits three-member teams from the US) PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour against each other.
The 2005 Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge was won by the Champions Tour with the US PGA Tour finishing second and the LPGA Tour coming in last. Craig Stadler, Hale Irwin and Jay Haas, representing the Champions Tour, won $450,000 for their victory. Fred Couples, John Daly and Mark Calcavecchia ( US PGA Tour) received $240,000 while the LPGA Tours team of Grace Park, Cristie Kerr and Lorena Ochoa got $210,000.
Tournament organizers provided the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption with a check for $3.8 million.
