The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am, played at the TPC Tampa Bay in Luiz, Florida, has been part of the Champions Tour since its inception in 1988. As the tour is reserved for golfers above the age of 50 a host of top players play on this tour. Over the years the tournament's name has been changed four times due to the change in sponsors. When it was first played the tournament was known as GTE Suncoast Classic.

Jerry Pate took the top honors at the 2006 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am . He had a one-stroke victory over Morris Hatalsky. He received $240,000 in prize money out of the tournament purse of $1.65 million.
Past Winners
