The AT&T Classic has been a regular feature on the Champions Tour roster since 1990, the year it was first played. It was first known as the Security Pacific Senior Classic and after having many name changes it is known by its present name since 2006. It is held at the Valencia Country Club annually in the month of March.

The 2006 AT&T Classic was won by Tom Kite, who beat Gil Morgan by five strokes. He received $240,000 in prize money out of the tournament purse of $1.6 million.
